Old Timers split doubleheader in Ohio

NORTH JACKSON, Ohio — The Jamestown Old Timers split a doubleheader with Warren on Sunday, losing the first game 11-8 before winning the second game 19-2.

In Game 1, Jamestown’s Kyle Jenkins had two doubles while Chris Yost and Wade Nelson each had one double. Jamestown totaled 17 hits in the game.

In Game 2, Winston Woodard earned the win on the mound for Jamestown with a seven-hitter.

Ted Wybernac had two doubles while John Carr, Nelson, Jenkins, Mard Lobdell and Glenn Morse each had one.

The Old Timers play in the 50-Plus League out of Youngstown, Ohio, and are made up of players from Western New York and Northeast, Pennsylvania. Jamestown will play at Salem, Ohio, this coming Sunday before a doubleheader against Springfield, Ohio, beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 21 at Diethrick Park in Jamestown.
