Rotary Club Presents Service Above Self Award

Marion Beckerink received the Service Above Self Award from outgoing Rotary President Ruth Lundin at the club’s recent Presidential Dinner.

Ms Lundin said, “Every president needs to have a number two person who is strong in the area of their weaknesses and understands the importance of teamwork. One doesn’t always get what one needs, but I did with Marion Beckerink. Whenever I said, I just can’t do this, Marion said I’ll do it.”

Lundin stated Beckerink is the epitome of poise and grace, greeting visitors and members alike, providing the welcome that Rotary should.

Beckerink accepted the chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
