An arrest has been made in connection with a July shooting death in the village of Sinclairville.

Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies report they made the arrest before noon Thursday in the death of 19-year-old Joseph Misciagno, who was killed on July 5. After the case was presented to a Chautauqua County Grand Jury by District Attorney Jason Schmidt, Hon. Stephen W. Cass signed an arrest warrant for the charge of first-degree manslaughter.

The defendant was arraigned on the indictment and remanded without bail. Pursuant to New York State Law, the defendant’s name cannot be released. This arrest stems from a lengthy investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office.
