America’s Best Restaurants is a national media firm focused on highlighting independent restaurants, airing episodes mostly on Facebook, YouTube and their website. Dutch Village General Manager, Brittany Gerould, said America’s Best Restaurants reached out to the restaurant last fall about being featured and they agreed to it.

“There will be lots of social media promotions, contests/giveaways for customers, a live on site show at our restaurant, and a viewing party for our episode,” Gerould said. “It is an honor to be featured on America’s Best Restaurants and we owe our success to our amazing staff and customers.”

America’s Best Restaurants will be at the Dutch Village to film on Monday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Gerould said any community members that would like to come during the filming of the episode are welcome, and the more people that come the better.

The Dutch Village is regularly open seven days a week, serving their “famous breakfast” all day, with daily lunch and dinner specials, Fresh Fish Fry every Friday. Every Sunday there is a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon and April through October the restaurant has a Friday Grand Salad Bar from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and a Monday Night Senior Smorgasbord from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for ages 60 and older.

“At the Dutch Village it’s like going home again to grandma’s kitchen,” Gerould said. “When you walk into our restaurant everyone knows your name and if they don’t they will soon find out.”
