Web.com Tour Coming To Peek’n Peak Next Year

CLYMER Professional golf is returning to Peek’n Peak after all. Golfers in the Web.com Tour will make their way to Peek’n Peak beginning July 2016.

Announced Tuesday morning, the LECOM Health Challenge, which will be played at Peek’n Peak’s Upper Course, will take place July 4-10, 2016. A similar timeframe is anticipated for the 2017-19 tournaments. The weeklong schedule includes a Pro-Am followed by four official rounds of tournament competition with a $600,000 purse.

“It’s great to be back at Peek’n Peak,” said Bill Calfee, president of the Web.com Tour. “There’s a lot of enthusiasm and a lot of support in this market.”

Chautauqua Region Economic Development Corporation will serve as the host organization of the LECOM Health Challenge.

The Golf Channel will televise all four rounds throughout the U.S. and will be available in another 192 countries, reaching a potential 93 million households via the PGA Tour’s international broadcast operations.

LECOM, an academic health system, will become the title sponsor of the new Web.com Tour event.
