JAMESTOWN POLICE Limerka C. Diaz, 28, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, and failed to keep right at 10:13 p.m. Tuesday after city police officers responded to a south side address for a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was found to have crossed over the roadway, over the curb, and struck the porch of a residence. Diaz was charged and taken to the city jail and later released with an appearance ticket.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ASHVILLE – The cause of a fire over the weekend has been revealed. The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was called to conduct a cause and origin investigation for a fire which occurred Saturday morning within a residence on Matson Road in the town of Harmony. After a hands-on investigation at the scene and interviews with the homeowners, it was determined that there was a propane leak in the basement. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — At around 2 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Samual J. Cettell. Further investigation found Cettell to be operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. Cettell was charged with DWI and no and inadequate plate lamps. He will be in Pomfret court later. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Tre L. Frank, 30, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of a child at 8:24 p.m. Thursday after officers responding to an unrelated emergency call found a young child in the middle of Lakeview Avenue with no parents around. According to a police report Frank was in charge of taking care of his 4-year-old child when the child got out of the house and was found walking down the middle of Lakeview Avenue in a diaper and shirt. JAMESTOWN POLICE - Carolyn B. Shields, 43, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and several traffic citations at 2:36 a.m. April 27 after officers responded to the area of Allen and Scioto streets for a reported car accident. Upon arrival officers reportedly saw a street sign in the road, a damaged telephone pole and tire skid marks leading to a damaged vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — At around 12:16 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and Fredonia Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Route 20 in the village. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kyla E. Curry, 37, of Dunkirk. Further investigation found Curry to be driving while intoxicated. Curry was charged with DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and no or inadequate lights.
