JAMESTOWN POLICE - Luis A. Deleon-Lopez, 34, of Jamestown was charged with felony second-degree burglary and third-degree assault at 8 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. During the investigation, it was determined Deleon-Lopez allegedly entered a woman’s residence and physically assaulted her by punching her in the face. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — KIANTONE — At around 8:07 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident on Donelson Road. The operator was identified as Bethany S. Johnson, 50, of Jamestown. Further investigation found Johnson to have been operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. She was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, operating out of ignition interlock restriction, backing unsafely and unregistered motor vehicle. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – MAYVILLE – Justice W McBride, 24, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. On May 10 McBridde was booked into the County Jail on unrelated charges out of the City of Jamestown Court. During the intake process he was detained in a holding cell where it is alleged that he intentionally smashed the phone handset off the block wall. Rivera-Perez, 28, of Dunkirk was charged Wednesday with aggravated unlicensed operator, Back seat passenger less than age 2 no rear facing restraint, Back seat passenger age 4-7 no/improper restraint, uninspected motor vehicle, inadequate muffler, threw/deposited refuse on highway/adjacent land, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT Lisa Tibbetts, 48, of Jamestown, who pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both “B” felonies, was sentenced by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of seven years with two years of post-release supervision. Tibbetts pleaded guilty to these charges on Feb. 25 and was sentenced on Monday. The plea and sentence was the result of a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine by Tibbetts by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. ...

JAMESTOWN POLICE - Kevin LaMar, 52, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday after officers patrolling the area of Winsor and East Second streets flagged officers down and told them a man had threatened the youth with a handgun. Officers report finding LaMar a short time later. LaMar was charged, taken to the city jail for processing and released with an appearance ticket.
