Deputies responded to a past-tense complaint of an incident that occurred on June 6 at about 9:20 p.m. at a business in the village. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - BEMUS POINT – At around 1:06 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Bemus Point-Ellery Road. The operator was identified as Abigail M. Jenkins, 25, of Rittman, Ohio. Further investigation found Jenkins to be driving while intoxicated. Jenkins was charged with DWI, and speed in zone. Hampton, 33, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9:30 a.m. Monday after officers were flagged down by a person near North Main Street and West 15th Street.
