GERRY — A 66-year-old woman has died in a motor vehicle collision on Sunday night. Early Monday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department reported that at around 6:18 p.m., they and multiple other agencies responded to the two-vehicle accident with serious injuries on Route 60. Upon arrival and through an investigation at the scene, it was determined that a vehicle was traveling north in the southbound lane of Route 60. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team was requested to the scene to conduct a cause and origin fire investigation. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Lisa Gaiser, 47, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 29 with resisting arrest, and having multiple arrest warrants. According to police, at about 3 a.m., officers conducted a warrant search at a westside residence. Officers made contact with Gaiser, who had several arrest warrants from JPD. Officers spoke with Gaiser through her door and window, and she was informed she was under arrest. Gaiser allegedly refused to cooperate with officers’ commands, and would not open the door. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Brandon J. Whitmore, 41, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 25 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and other traffic violations. According to police, at about 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow at Falconer and Cowing streets. Upon further investigation, it was found that Whitmore allegedly was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated.
