COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– Jonathan M. Tresler, 36, of Fredonia was charged Friday with criminal contempt. It is alleged that he violated a stay-away Order of Protection that was filed in Fredonia two days earlier. He was taken into custody, transported to the county jail and arraigned.

– CHAUTAUQUA – Drake F. Ottaway, 23, of Sinclairville was charged Sunday around 7:30 p.m. with driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired, open alcohol container, speeding, driving to the left of pavement parkings, and failure to comply with a lawful order. Deputies said they attempted to stop a vehicle on Rt. 430 but the driver failed to comply with deputies leading into a short vehicle pursuit before eventually stopping his vehicle. He will return to the Town of Chautauqua court at a later date and time.

– PORTLAND – Travis L. Lanneaux, 38, of Westfield and April Decker, 22, of Mayville were both charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. It is alleged that they trespassed on Route 20 in a storage unit that did not belong to them. They were later released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Portland Court on a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Dwayne A. Andrade, 36, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 21 with second-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree criminal trespass. According to police, at about 7:38 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a domestic dispute where officers located Andrade walking out of the residence. Upon further investigation, police learned Andrade arrived at the residence and began arguing. During the argument, police said, Andrade allegedly took a phone from the victim while the victim was calling 911, and threw it onto the floor, so the victim could not call for help. Andrade then entered the victim’s apartment without permission, police said. Police added that the victim has a valid order of protection against Andrade. Andrade was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in city court later.

– Crystal M. Vogt, 39, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 21 with second-degree aggravated harassment. According to police, at about 4:21 p.m., officers responded to an aggravated harassment complaint downtown. Upon further investigation, it was found that Vogt allegedly called the victim’s personal phone multiple times. Police said Vogt called the victim’s place of employment more than 15 times with no purpose of legitimate conversation. Vogt was located and taken to city jail. Vogt will be in city court later.

– Delvin R. Speed, 51, no address given, was charged Sept. 21 third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use drug paraphernalia, and having an outstanding warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. According to police, at about 6:34 a.m. officers were patrolling on the city’s northside, near Van Buren Street and Prendergast Avenue, when they observed Speed walking on the sidewalk. Officers had prior knowledge that Speed had an active warrant from the sheriff’s office. Speed was taken into custody, and upon further investigation Speed had a quantity of

methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia on his person. He was taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.

– Joshua T. Berg, 37, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 22 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. According to police, at around 1 a.m., officers were patrolling near East Eighth and Fulton streets when Berg was observed riding a bicycle while allegedly committing a city code violation. Officers performed a street check on Berg, and while speaking with him, he fled on foot from officers. Berg was apprehended, and upon further investigation, officers found Berg to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Officers also learned that Berg had had an active larceny warrant from JPD and another active grand larceny warrant from the sheriff’s office. He was taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.

– Scott E. Moore, 50, no address given, was charged Sept. 20 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and an active JPD warrant. According to police, officers were patrolling the city’s westside when they located Moore near Forest and Linden avenues. Officers had prior knowledge that Moore had an active warrant, and upon further investigation, officers found Moore to be in possession of a quantity of heroin. He was taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.

– Donna Torres, 68, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 21 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 12:31 p.m., officers responded to a downtown business near Brooklyn Square for a shoplifting complaint. Officers located Torres, a short distance from the business, while she was in possession of the alleged stolen property. She was taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.
