Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Armando Rosario, 43, and HEather M. Dempsey, 36, were charged after a traffic stop at 2:26 a.m. Monday near Winsor and Scott streets. Rosario was allegedly wanted on court warrants out of Pennsylvania. Officers also allegedly found Dempsey in possession of cocaine. Rosario was charged with being a fugitive from justice and Dempsey was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both were taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.
– Ralph R. Patterson, 45, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and several felony arrest warrants at 4:49 p.m. after officers pulled a vehicle over on the north side of Jamestown. During the stop, officers identified one of the occupants as Ralph R. Patterson, who was known to have several active felony warrants issued by Jamestown City Court. When officers attempted to take Patterson into custody, he allegedly fled on foot, prompting a brief foot chase. Police report Patterson was caught and charged without further incident. Patterson was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Maurice R. Proctor, 38, of Falconer, was charged with second-degree vehicular assault, DWI, driving while ability impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation on Sept. 13 after an investigation was completed stemming from a personal injury motor vehicle accident that occurred. Ellicott police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian that was struck on April 14 where it is alleged Proctor was driving and struck a pedestrian in an intersection causing serious physical injury to the victim. Through investigation it was determined by a Drug Recognition Expert on scene that Proctor was allegedly under the influence of a drug. Proctor was released with traffic tickets to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Three Falconer youths, all under the age of eighteen, were charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, and petit larceny on Sept. 6. Ellicott police responded to a burglary complaint, where it is alleged that three people in face masks entered an occupied dwelling and stole property from the dwelling. The youths were released with Family Court appearance tickets. The juveniles are due to appear in the Chautauqua County Family Court later.
– An 18-year-old Jamestown youth was charged with making a terroristic threat on Sept. 9. Ellicott police responded to Falconer Central School for a threat that was made by a juvenile, where it is alleged the juvenile made terroristic threats of harm to others. The juvenile was arrested and issued a Family Court appearance ticket.
– Mikelle H. Davis, 23, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 4:09 p.m. Sept. 10. Ellicott police responded to an Order of Protection Violation where it is alleged Davis contacted the protected person and violated the order. Davis was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA – Alexander K. Latta, 30, of Mayville was charged Monday with second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies allege that Latta menaced another individual with a knife in front of children around 9:20 p.m. in the town.
