CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— CHAUTAUQUA — At around 1:19 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 430. The operator was identified as Ronald T. Andres, 57 of Lancaster. Further investigation found Andres was driving while intoxicated. Andres was charged with DWI, and aggravated DWI, and speed in zone. He will be in town court later.
— HANOVER — At 12:03 a.m. Friday, deputies conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle committing a traffic violation. The operator was identified as Thomas J. Rosenlund, 29, of Angola, and was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was transported for processing and later released with appearance tickets.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Robert B. Howard Jr., 48, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, criminal possession of burglar’s tools and resisting arrest.
At about 4 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a northside address for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers on scene located an open window which was believed to be the point of entry.
After canvassing the building, one subject was seen exiting the building out of the broken window. After a brief foot pursuit and struggle, officers took Howard into custody.
After an investigation, it was found that Howard damaged more than $7,100 worth of property inside. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and held pending arraignment.
— Jorge L. Rivera, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of child, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree criminal mischief and multiple traffic tickets.
At around 5 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the Dollar General on Winsor St. for a motor vehicle accident. During the on-scene investigation, it was found that during a domestic dispute, Rivera intentionally drove his vehicle into oncoming traffic and hit the victim’s vehicle head-on, attempting to stop them while the victim and three other juveniles were in the victim’s vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. Rivera was taken into custody without incident.
