COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
— PORTLAND — Thomas A. Schmid Jr., 33, of Brocton, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded at 1:45 p.m. Monday to Ellicott Road in the town of Portland for a disorderly person. It was learned that Schmid had a felony warrant and allegedly resisted while being taken into custody. Schmid was eventually transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
