NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Justin Miller, 38, of Bemus Point, was charged with second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers responded Monday to a Bemus Point residence for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation found that Miller pushed, struck and choked another person with a young child nearby. Miller was located a residence in Ellicott and transported to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ Douglas Martin, 56, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. Troopers stopped a truck Saturday on Route 60 in Jamestown for seatbelt violations. Martin was identified as a passenger, and was found to be violating an order of protection for the driver. He is scheduled to appear in Kiantone Town Court later.

¯ RANDOLPH — James Allenson, 48, of Kennedy, was charged with driving while intoxicated and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Allenson was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests during a traffic stop. Allenson was transported to police barracks and later provided a breath sample of 0.10%, and a check showed five driving suspensions. Allenson is scheduled to appear in Randolph Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ GERRY — Lauren A. Carlson, 31, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a BAC 0.08% or greater and speed in zone. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 11:55 p.m. Sunday on Route 60 in the town of Gerry for speeding. An investigation found that Carlson was intoxicated. She was processed and issued tickets to appear in Gerry Town Court later.
