LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Andrea K. Carlson, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. Carlson was taken into custody Sunday at 9:48 p.m. after allegedly taking items from Walmart on Fairmount Avenue. Carlson is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Sarah E. Lundsten, 38, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officers stopped a vehicle Monday at 2:55 a.m. in the area of Logan Avenue. Lundsten was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of heroin. She was taken to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Alberto Narvaez-Aponte Jr., 38, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Officers on Saturday at 4:28 p.m. conducted a warrant check in front of an address on West Eighth Street. Narvaez-Aponte reportedly pulled away after being told he was under arrest. He then led officers on a short foot pursuit before being taken into custody. Narvaez-Aponte was taken to Jamestown City Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ Blake M. McAffee, 27, of Jamestown was charged with unnecessary noise, two counts of second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Cynthia J. Howie, 30, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and unnecessary noise. Members of the Jamestown Fire Department and Police Department responded Saturday at 7:46 p.m. to 15 Partridge St. for a house fire. McAffee reportedly screamed at firefighters, preventing them from performing their duties. Howie then arrived and reportedly caused a scene. Both were taken to Jamestown City Jail, where Howie continuously spit in the booking room.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RIPLEY — Marc E. Whitman, 48, of Ripley was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, DWI, failure to comply and speeding over 55 mph. Deputies stopped a vehicle at 6:41 p.m. Sunday on Sherman Road in the town of Ripley for a speeding violation. An investigation found that Whitman was allegedly operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. He is scheduled to appear in Ripley Town Court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Allan L. Broadwater Jr., no age or address listed, was charged with larceny. Officers were called Saturday at 3:25 a.m. to a larceny complaint that took place at the Budget Inn in Falconer. An investigation found that Broadwater allegedly took several items from another tenant. He is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Joseph Zimmerman, 47, of Adamsville, Pa., was taken into custody Sunday after being a fugitive from justice. Troopers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 86 in Bemus Point due to a seatbelt violation. Zimmerman was identified as one of the vehicle’s occupants, and a license check revealed that there was an active violation of parole warrant for him issued by the Pennsylvania Board of Probation and Parole for sale of cocaine. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and held for arraignment.

¯ RANDOLPH — Karen Koniak, 49, of Randolph was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Koniak Saturday for a traffic violation on Main Street in Randolph. Koniak was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.30%. A check of her driving history showed she had a previous DWI conviction within the past 10 years. Koniak is scheduled to appear in Randolph Town Court later.

¯ Amanda Burnham, 37, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated. Troopers stopped Burnham on Interstate 86 near Jamestown for allegedly driving erratically. Burnham reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and later provided a breath sample of 0.10%. She is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court next month.
