CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ ELLERY — Jason C. Brunecz, 25, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or greater and speed in zone. Around 2:25 a.m. on Monday deputies observed a vehicle speeding on Route 430. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Brunecz, who was taken into custody following an investigation. He will appear in Ellery Town Court at a later date.

¯ SHERIDAN — Charles E. Simpson, 38, of Forestville was charged with DWI, DWI per se and operating a motor vehicle with less than two headlights. Around 11:53 p.m. on May 8 deputies observed a vehicle that was operating with less than two headlights on South Roberts Road. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified Simpson as the operator. Following an investigation, deputies placed Simpson into custody. He will appear in Sheridan Town Court at a later date.

¯ POMFRET — Derek J. Griffith, 36, of Dunkirk was charged with DWI, DWI per se and speed in zone. Around 11:46 p.m. on May 5, deputies observed a vehicle speeding on Route 20. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Griffith. He was taken into custody following an investigation. Griffith will appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ Tyler Pellerino, 26, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and two counts of fourth-degree stalking. Troopers interviewed a victim Wednesday who said Pellerino allegedly sent her 70 text messages and called 30 times, despite being advised to stop future contact by her and the Jamestown Police Department. Further investigation revealed that Pellerino had driven by the victim’s residence and residences of her family members on several occasions for no legitimate purpose. He was processed and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
