JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Marc A. Graves, 36, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, unsafe lane change, refusal to submit to breath test, unlicensed operator and operating a motor vehicle while consuming alcohol. Officers responded Friday to the area of the West Third Street bridge for a reported motor vehicle crash that occurred in the area of West Fourth and Lafayette streets. An investigation determined that one of the drivers involved in the crash was driving in an intoxicated condition. Graves was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail to be arraigned.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ GERRY — Scott J. Smith Jr., 35, of Corry, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and speed in zone. Deputies observed a traffic violation Saturday at 12:47 p.m. on Sinclair Drive Extension in the town of Gerry. Smith was found to be driving with a suspended driver’s license. Smith was also allegedly found in possession of marijuana and a controlled substance.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Frank S. Miniri Jr., 29, of Hamburg was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 5:09 p.m. for a traffic violation in Silver Creek. A passenger, identified as Miniri, was found in possession of concentrated cannabis.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Aaron R. Newman, 27, of French Creek was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a BAC of .08 percent or greater, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and parking on a public highway. Deputies report finding a vehicle parked on Mann Road in French Creek on Saturday at 5 p.m. Following an investigation, Newman was taken into custody.
