Police responded to a reported motorcycle accident around 2:20 p.m. near the intersection of Oak Hill and Moon roads. According to Ellicott police, a Honda CBR motorcycle was found in a ditch along the side of Oak Hill Road. It did not appear to have extensive damage, although the rider was reportedly picked up by a passer-by and taken to WCA Hospital for unknown injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation, police said. Ellicott police were joined by the New York State Police and Fluvanna emergency officials at the scene. The status of the motorcyclist is still unknown.
