Jamestown Mayor Eddie Sundquist on Monday provided both the City Council and the public with an update regarding the city’s Third Street project.

The city removed the “Cathedral Oaks” on West Third Street in late 2020 due to public safety concerns presented by a series of incidents with trees falling down and causing major damage to nearby properties. At the time, city officials explained that the public safety concern on West Third Street caused by the “Cathedral Oaks” was the result of a disease that spread between the oak trees.
