Bike Rides To Clymer Set

As a new member of Chautauqua Rails to Trails board of directors, Patrick Johnson, an avid long-distance cyclist, has organized three bike rides which have Clymer as the destination.

The first ride is on Saturday, Sept. 25 departing at 8:30 a.m. from the Corry Junction Greenway Trailhead in Corry, PA. The ride will utilize 6.6 miles of the Corry Junction Greenway Trail and end up at the Dutch Village Restaurant in Clymer for breakfast.

Two rides will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 2. The first ride leaves from Ryder’s Cup Restaurant in Lakewood at 8:30 a.m. and will use roads to ride to Clymer (19 miles one way). The second ride leaves Sherman from the Chautauqua Rails to Trails trailhead at the village park on Franklin Street at 9 a.m. and is 11 miles one way. It will also use roads due to the fact that the rail trail between Sherman and Clymer is not viable at this time.

All riders will be responsible for breakfast purchase and means of returning to their respective communities. Interested riders should text Johnson at 716-640-4405 so that he can answer questions and give the Dutch Village Restaurant a head count.
