Dunkirk Man Arrested In 2017 Robbery Of Store

DUNKIRK — The Dunkirk Police Department announced the arrest of 22-year-old Andre McQuiggan on Thursday stemming from a robbery of a convenience store in November.

McQuiggan, of Dunkirk, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant signed by County Court Judge David Foley on a charge of second-degree robbery.

According to the Dunkirk Police Department, the ROBO Mart in Dunkirk was robbed Nov. 17, 2017. The suspect got away with an unknown amount of money after brandishing an object that appeared to be a firearm.

The arrest was made following a lengthy investigation, Dunkirk police announced. The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
