Randolph Man Faces Charges Following Weekend Break-In

A Randolph man faces several charges after State Police in Jamestown investigated a reported break-in on Saturday.

Dustin Waite, 26, of Randolph was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, fourth-degree criminal mischief, petit larceny and resisting arrest. Troopers report that Waite, while intoxicated, had entered the person’s home without invitation and refused to leave peacefully. After being locked out, Waite then broke the person’s window and urinated on his porch.

Waite was still on scene when troopers arrived and reportedly physically resisted being arrested. After being successfully taken into custody by the Troopers, Waite was searched and beef jerky was located on his person, later determined to be stolen from 7-11 in Randolph just prior to the break-in call.

Waite was taken to the State Police at Jamestown barracks, processed, arraigned in Randolph Town Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail. He will be in court later.
