Fourth Of July Events Scheduled Throughout County

Several Fourth of July events are planned throughout Chautauqua County this year. Below is a list of locations and events for the annual festivities.

SATURDAY

MAPLE SPRINGS — Midway State Park will host their annual Independence Day celebration. The rides and attractions will be open from noon-10 p.m. with a half-hour ride shutdown, scheduled from 4:30-5 p.m. for safety inspections. At 4:30 p.m., American Hawkeye will be onsite with a Birds of Prey demonstration show. The Untouchables band will perform from 8-10 p.m. The day will culminate with Fireworks at 10:15 p.m.

TUESDAY

DUNKIRK — The city of Dunkirk will host its annual Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks event. Live music, food and vendors will be available at the Dunkirk City Pier and Memorial Park. Celebrations run from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Free parking is available on the street and in nearby parking lots. The night will end with a fireworks display. Live music will be played from 2:30-8:30 p.m.

MAYVILLE — A Fourth of July celebration will be held at Lakeside Park on Route 394 in the village. The parade will begin at 10 a.m., followed by activities, events, food and live music at the park. A fireworks display will be held at 10 p.m.

LAKEWOOD — The Fourth of July Summerfest will be held in Lakewood rain or shine at Richard O. Hartley Park. Vendors on Chautauqua Avenue will open at noon, with the Kidz Zone open at 11:30 a.m. The Firecracker 10K Run, 2-mile walk, begins at 9 a.m. Live music will be played from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

FINDLEY LAKE — The Findley Lake July 4 Celebration will be held village-wide beginning around noon. A BBQ chicken dinner will be available by the Findley Lake Fire Department, and the annual Duck Race will take place at noon at the Waterwheel. A boat parade will take place at 2 p.m. and live music starts at 7 p.m. at the Gazebo. Fireworks will close the day at 10 p.m.
