A childcare center in Mayville and an area college are getting millions of dollars to expand daycare. On Tuesday, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced more than $106 million in awards through the Childcare Capital Construction Funding Program to support 37 projects that will create and expand access to quality childcare across New York State. Sheridan winery fined $1,000 for missed water reports

A winery in the northern end of the county has once again been fined after missing multiple water reports. During the Chautauqua County Board of Health meeting, it was announced there were 11 Agreements to Settle for public water supply violations. All businesses cited are on private well water and are required to do various reporting. Most of the businesses or organizations fined were for one or two reports missing.
