A Buffalo man has been arrested for allegedly selling drugs in southern Chautauqua County. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Jason Talley, 46, with narcotics conspiracy, which carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life. Fire Destroys Mobile Home In Ellery

A structure fire at 5:06 a.m. Tuesday destroyed a mobile home in the High Acres Mobile Home Park in Ellery. The Fluvanna Fire Department along with several neighboring mutual aid fire departments responded to the scene. Upon extinguishing the fire, the Fluvanna Fire Department requested the assistance of the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team to conduct an origin and cause investigation. As a result of the residence being unoccupied for an extended period of time along with the extensive damage to the structure, no immediate cause was able to be determined.

Jamestown Man Headed To Prison For Child Pornography

A Jamestown man is headed to prison for sharing child pornography through social media. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced that Brandon G. Uber, 24, who was convicted of distribution of child pornography, was sentenced to serve 17 ½ years in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who handled the case, stated that in March 2021, Uber sent a Snapchat user image and video files of a 16-year-old minor female victim engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Jamestown Police Investigating Shooting

Jamestown Police officers are actively investigating a shooting that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Thursday. According to police, one male (no age given) was shot near the vicinity of Hopkins Avenue and Second Street. Currently, he is being treated for wounds sustained during the incident.
