The village of Westfield has been awarded $4.5 million by the state for its Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon by Gov. Kathy Hochul. Sherman Woman Charged With Arson

SHERMAN – A Sherman woman was arrested following a fire Sunday night. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, around 10:40 p.m. a structure fire occurred around 10:40 p.m. Scanner reports indicate it was to a barn on Bailey Hill Road. Deputies allege that 21-year-old Susan Hostetler intentionally set the fire following a dispute. She was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment and was charged with third-degree arson and second-degree criminal mischief in the 2nd degree. She will appear in the Town of Sherman court at a later date.

U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday a federal grand jury is charging Latika Saintkitts a/k/a Tika, 34. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Joshua A. Violanti and Louis A. Testani, who are handling the case, stated that according to the indictment, between 2018, and May 26, 2022, Saintkitts conspired with Joseph S. A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, methamphetamine. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Friday that Aaron Miller, 31, made the admission to U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. The plea carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and a $1,000,000 fine. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A.
