Jamestown police have arrested a city man who is wanted by Puerto Rican police for homicide. On Wednesday, Jamestown police officers were given information of a man at an east side residence who was wanted by police. Officers went to the address and the man, Bryan Rivera-Montanez, answered the door. Rivera-Montanez was taken into custody without incident and taken to the city jail, where he was charged with fugitive from justice and held on an arrest warrant for homicide.
A Jamestown man has been killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon. Benny L. Salva, 35, of Jamestown was riding his motorcycle on Barrett Avenue near McKinley Avenue at the time of the accident. Jamestown police say the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the accident, which took place at 12:58 p.m. A portion of Barrett Avenue was closed to traffic while police investigated the accident. A Jamestown man has been charged with first-degree grand larceny after allegedly stealing more than $1 million from his employer. Paul A.
