A Falconer man is facing assault and weapons charges after an incident Sunday morning in Jamestown. City police report David D. Rodriguez, 34, was charged with first-degree assault, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of first-degree criminal contempt after the 10:15 a.m. incident. Missing Ohio Swimmer’s Body Located In Chautauqua Lake

An Ohio man who was swimming and went missing on Chautauqua Lake was located Sunday. On Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call of a submerged swimmer on Chautauqua Lake north of Chautauqua Institution. The Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team and the department's marine division responded and were unable to locate the swimmer. The search was paused due to darkness and resumed on Sunday. Search For Missing Swimmer To Resume Sunday

CHAUTAUQUA -- The search for a missing swimmer will resume Sunday morning. At around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting a missing male swimmer on Chautauqua Lake near Chautauqua Institution. The Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team, Sheriff's Department Marine Patrol along with several fire departments responded to the area and began a search. The swimmer was not located, and crews paused the efforts due to darkness. The search will resume on Sunday. Additional information will be released at a later time.
