No Charges Filed In Accident Resulting In Child’s Death

No charges will be filed against the driver in an accident that killed an 11-year-old on a bicycle on June 17. The Jamestown Police Department, along with assistance from the Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team, have concluded their investigation into the crash that killed Daniel Galarza Ramos. Ramos was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Willard and Kinney streets and later succumbed to his injuries on June 18 2025, at Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y. The investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle was not at fault for the collision.

FREWSBURG – One person has been taken to a Buffalo area hospital following an early morning house fire. According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday around 5 a.m. the Frewsburg Fire Department and several mutual aid departments responded to 50 Water St. for a residential structure fire. One person was injured as a result of the fire and was transported to the Erie County Medical Center with serious injuries. KIANTONE --- A Stockton man has died after a motorcycle accident on Wednesday evening. A Jamestown man has pleaded guilty to taking advantage of two homeless individuals, including providing them drugs and shelter, in exchange for commercial sex acts. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo has announced that 34-year-old Anthony Burris pleaded guilty before Senior U.S. District Judge William M.
