In Irv King’s first season as the head coach of the Clymer boys basketball team, his Pirates defeated rival Sherman to win the Section VI Class D championship. Coming to a close on his career in his 33rd season at the helm, King had the opportunity to go out the way he came in, winning the sectional title against Sherman. Fire Damages Route 394 Home In Busti

BUSTI - Fire damaged a home at 2313 Route 394, Busti, near Smith Boys Marina, early Friday morning. Lakewood volunteer firefighters and several mutual aid departments responded to the scene at 1:33 a.m. Friday. After extinguishing the fire, the Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team determined the fire began in the rear portion of the home and was caused by an electrical issue. The fire was ruled accidental.

Two Panama residents face charges after stolen items that include an ATV were allegedly found on their property. James L. Murray, 37, of Wiltsie Road, Panama, and Emily J.
