Two Jamestown residents have been sentenced on federal drug charges for their involvement in a regional drug ring. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Monday that Kelly Berenguer, 46, of Jamestown, who was convicted of possession of methamphetamine, was sentenced to time served by U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer. On October 17, 2024, Kelly Berenguer’s vehicle was stopped by Jamestown Police. During a search of the vehicle, law enforcement recovered a quantity of methamphetamine and a digital scale. A Jamestown man is facing federal child pornography charges. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced Monday that Connor J. Higgs, 20, of Jamestown, was charged by criminal complaint with possession and distribution of child pornography, which carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years, and a maximum of 20 years.
