Jamestown Man Charged With Child Sex Crimes

A Jamestown man already serving time in state prison has been charged with the alleged sexual assault of two girls under the age of 11. ‘

In May 2025 the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division began an investigation into alleged sexual abuse. Devein A. Denson, 24, of Jamestown was interviewed at the state prison where he is serving time. Deputies have now charged Denson with predatory sexual assault against a child, a class A-2 felony, first-degree criminal sexual act, a class B felony, and first-degree sexual abuse, a class D felony. Denson allegedly subjected two girls under the age of 11 to sexual contact.

On Tuesday, Denson was brought back to Chautauqua County by the state Department of Corrections and Community Services. He will appear in court later.

“The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office remains unwavering in its commitment to protecting children and holding those who harm them accountable,” the county Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. “Crimes against children will not be tolerated in our community. Those found responsible will be identified, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
