Jamestown police are at the scene of a shooting that took place after 5 p.m. Monday.

According to scanner reports, two shooting victims were reported at 839 Prendergast Ave. One individual was reportedly shot in the chest.

Currently, the site is surrounded by officers as well as caution tape. One report indicated the suspect may be on the loose.

In addition, Chautauqua County Emergency Management Services and Jamestown Fire Department responded to the scene around 5:35 p.m.

Chautauqua County District Attorney Jason Schmidt was notified of the incident and was en route to the scene.

In Auguust 2022, a shooting on the same 800 block occurred that was a fatality.
