About 400 National Grid customers remain without power following Sunday’s windstorm.

Most of the outages, according to National Grid’s power outage map, are expected to be resolved by 2-3 p.m. Tuesday. A powerful windstorm swept through the region around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, knocking down trees and limbs as well as utility lines.

Thousands were left without power immediately following the storm. By Monday morning, about 1,700 customers were still waiting for power to return.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the outages were scattered throughout the south county, with 155 customers impacted in town of Kiantone and Carroll near the Pennsylvania state line. Another 67 customers were without power near the intersection of Route 62 and Ivory Road in the town of Carroll near Poland.

Elsewhere, dozens were without power in locations including French Creek, Busti, Mina, Ellery, Maple Springs and Bemus Point.

All power appears to have been restored in the north county.
