Brandon Smith, a sixth-grader at Southwestern Middle School, was left off of the original list of honor and merit roll students in the first quarter of the 2017-18 school year at Southwestern Central School.

Parks Commission Discusses Capital Projects In an article in Friday’s edition of The Post-Journal regarding the county Parks Commission, Legislator John Hemmer was listed as a commission member. Hemmer is the legislative representative to the commission.
Libraries Receive Funding From Municipalities
When Tina Scott, James Prendergast Library director, was discussing the $50,000 in funding in the proposed 2018 city budget for the library during the Jamestown City Council meeting Monday, she said several libraries in cities that have a similar population as Jamestown receive 90 percent of their funding from the local municipality not $90,000. This information was incorrect in Tuesday’s The Post-Journal.
Scholarship Program Names Winner, Runners Up
In The Sunday Post-Journal regarding the Chautauqua Area Scholarship Program, the names of runner-up award winners was listed incorrectly. Mikayla Johnson was the first runner-up, Evelyn Rowan was the second runner-up and Anna Sena was the third runner-up.
Correction
ESPRI Funding The YWCA of Jamestown will be receiving funding through the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative. The organization’s name was incorrect in Saturday’s edition of The Post-Journal.
Schutte Experience
In Saturday’s Election 2017 publication, Doug Schutte’s answer to the question “Have you previously held any other positions in local/county government and, if so, for what duration of time?” was listed as not applicable. While Schutte has not held elected office, he has served on the Lakewood Village Finance Committee for two years.
