Clarification: Chautauqua Lake Association

The weed harvesting vessels pictured along with the story on Chautauqua Lake herbicide spraying results published Wednesday belong to the Chautauqua Lake Association, and not the Chautauqua Lake and Watershed Management Alliance.

Correction: Mealy Benefit Sunday

The medical benefit for Denise VanDeWark Mealy will be hosted Sunday from 1-9 p.m. at the American Legion in Celoron. The date was incorrectly listed in Tuesday’s edition of The Post-Journal.

Clarification

BUSTI — At the Busti Town Board meeting Monday, board members expressed that two local residents said their areas of Chautauqua Lake were clearer than they had been previously thanks to the spraying of herbicides.

Correction

A story in Thursday’s edition of The Post-Journal incorrectly gave the year of Annie Oakley’s marriage to Frank Butler. Historians site Oakley as either being married to Butler in 1881 in Ohio or via the marriage certificate with the date June 20, 1882, in Windsor, Ontario.

Correction

The party affiliations of Doug Schutte and Ted McCague were incorrectly identified in an editorial in the Sunday, July 1, edition of The Post-Journal. Schutte and McCague were endorsed by both the Republican and Democratic parties in the 2017 election.

Correction: County Court Judgement

Kathryn M. Mikula was awarded a $14,487.47 judgement against Clifford Mikula Jr. The information was incorrect in the June 19 edition of The Post-Journal.
