The town of Gerry has purchased some property that borders the town hall. The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from March 16-20. The county does not provide transaction information, but real estate documents are available for review at the clerk’s office. Jamestown Airport Receives Federal Funding

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded $5,710,373 in federal funding to Chautauqua County for infrastructure improvements at the Chautauqua County-Jamestown Airport. The funding, awarded through the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP), will support the final phase of a runway rehabilitation and modernization project at the airport. The project includes rehabilitation of 4,075 feet of existing paved Runway 13/31 to maintain structural integrity, minimize foreign object debris, and extend the runway’s operational lifespan.
