Zonta Club receives donation for Amelia Earhart Fellowship Fund

The Zonta Club of Jamestown recently received a donation to support Zonta International’s Amelia Earhart Fellowship Fund.
The contribution was presented by Colleen Reeve to Cheryl Grey, a member of the club’s Scholarship Committee, following the sixth annual Amelia’s Landing Invitational Golf Tournament held recently at Chautauqua Golf Club.
The donation was made possible through the generosity of the women who participated in the annual tournament, which celebrates the legacy of pioneering aviator Amelia Earhart while raising money to support women pursuing advanced studies in aerospace engineering and space sciences.
Established in 1938 in honor of famed aviator and Zontian Amelia Earhart, the Amelia Earhart Fellowship Fund awards fellowships to women from around the world pursuing doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences. Since its inception, the program has helped hundreds of women achieve their educational goals and make significant contributions to research, innovation, and exploration.
