Reg Lenna To Screen ‘Sheep Detectives’ Saturday
The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen The Sheep Detectives at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 27. The film stars Hugh Jackman as a shepherd who reads detective novels to his beloved sheep every night, assuming they can’t possibly understand. But when a mysterious incident disrupts life on the farm, the sheep realize they must become the detectives. The Sheep Detectives is rated PG and is 110 minutes long. Upcoming Movies at The Reg include a 30th anniversary showing of Christopher Guest’s mockumentary comedy Waiting for Guffman (July 1 at 7 p.m.), Leo Woodall and Dustin Hoffman in the caper thriller Tuner (July 15 at 7 p.m.) and Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve in the hit psychological horror film Backrooms (July 17 at 7 p.m.). Tickets for most Movies at The Reg are $8 in-person at the box office and $10 online (reglenna.com) and by phone at 716-484-7070. Family showings are $7 in-person at the box office and $9 online and by phone. Special engagements are priced differently. The theater and box office at The Reg are located at 116 E. Third St., Jamestown. The box office is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and one hour before movies and events.
Randolph School Board To Hold Organizational Meeting July 1
RANDOLPH – The Randolph Central School District Board of Education will hold its organizational board meeting on Wednesday, July 1, at 9 a.m. at the Cardinal Hills meeting facility. The public is welcome to attend. The organizational meeting will be followed by a board Retreat.
UPMC Chautauqua To Host Blood Drive June 30
The Community Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, in the UPMC Chautauqua auditorium. To schedule an appointment call 814-456-4206. Appointments are encouraged to reduce wait times but are not required. Community Blood Bank partners with hospitals in Northwest Pennsylvania and Western New York to provide blood for patients in need. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Donors also need to show a valid photo ID to donate. Scandinavian Folk Festival To Include Fika
The Scandinavian Folk Festival will offer fellowship opportunities in a Scandinavian tradition called Fika, the Swedish art of connection. The 2026 Festival will offer a Fika experience. Four round tables will be covered with blue and yellow table clothes and a Scandinavian runner. Vases will hold freshly cut flowers. Coffee will be served in china cups. A variety of traditional Swedish baked goods will be offered along with finger sandwiches presented by servers who will wonder among the participants. Each table will include information about Fika and a menu of what is being offered. There will be continuous music and folk dancing on the low rising stage for background atmosphere. On Saturday July 18, Fika will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festival is at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown.
