Running from July 19 through the end of August, the exhibit kicks off with an opening reception July 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the artists. Light refreshments will be served.
“‘Imposter Syndrome’ come from conversations Joe Rice and I have had with each other about the insecurities and struggles that we all go through as artists, and realizing that it’s a common occurrence among artists of all levels,” Grice said.
Grice and Rice said they have been mistaken for each other over the years, so decided to host an exhibition together to share their art.
“For as long as people have been mistaking me for Joe, they’ve also been asking when we are going to have a show together – it’s time to give the people what they want,” Rice said. “Over the past year, Joe and I have been meeting to go painting out in Chautauqua County in addition to preparing studio work for this exhibit. We both have struggled with not wanting to pigeonhole our art, whether being restricted to a particular medium or painting a specific subject. This is our opportunity to pull out all the stops, it’s exhilarating to finally be bringing this collection to the public.”
