LAKEWOOD – Chautauqua Lake’s Men of Integrity organization held its second meeting this year and had even more participants attend this event than its first, record-breaking breakfast.

The breakfast and worship program was held at The Rock Church, 35 W. Fairmount Ave. Saturday and was attended by more than 129 people from various churches and denominations.

The MOI, previously, held its’ return event in March – after taking a year off for sabbatical.

As previously reported by The Post-Journal, Roy Miller, the executive director of A Better Place Ministries, explained how attendance has been on a steady uptick since the re-start.

“This is wonderful,” said Miller.” “Before our sabbatical we would average 50 or so participants, 70 or 80 would be the high. This time, we’ve shattered all previous breakfast records.”‘

Miller stated this in reference to the March event’s … record breaking,115 participants.

“We had 130 people come to this event,” he said. “I can’t help but smile. There’s a real demand for this type of programming and it fits into our model and targeted goals for the ministry. You have people of different denominations and backgrounds just worshiping God and fellowshipping together.”

A Better Place Ministries is the parent organization for the Chautauqua Lake’s Men of Integrity and several other ministerial programs -locally and internationally based. –

“Chautauqua Lake’s Men of Integrity is just one of the many programs we offer,” said Miller. “We’ve also created a program for the church in The Republic of Uganda.”

According to thebetterplace.org, the organization houses several individual and unique ministries such as Men of Integrity; Women of Encouragement; One in Christ; Networking for Revival; Agape Prayer Ministry; Agape Prayer Ministry School and provides opportunities for informative and educational seminars, guest speakers and other faith-building events. The Better Place Ministry currently offers seminars in a variety of topics to include Advancing the Kingdom Jesus’ Way; Current World Realities; Defeating the Enemy Through Prayer; Developing the Spiritual Ear; Discerning Our Call to Prayer and The Four Calls of Second Chronicles – Call to Humility, Call to Prayer, Call to Seek God and a Call to Repent. There are close to an additional 12 other talk topics.

“The purpose of any such seminar would be to better equip the church to be a house of prayer for the nations,” he said. We’re pretty flexible when it comes to hosting seminars, Any church who’d like to host a seminar just needs to reach out to us,” Miller explained.

After breakfast, the program attendees moved to the church’s sanctuary for some music, fellowship and to hear a guest speaker.

“I love to worship and to play for the Lord,” said Brice Dieter, an alarm technician who also is a music leader for Men of Integrity and also performs at Conduit Ministries from time to time. “Our worship goes up, and the blessings come down.”
