The Reg Lenna Center for the Arts will screen a pair of Halloween-related films in the coming days.

Michael Keaton, Academy Award winner Geena Davis, Alex Baldwin and Winona Ryder star in director Tim Burton’s 1988 comic twist on supernatural horror tales — Beetlejuice (Saturday at 4 p.m.) When a couple of nice, young homebody ghosts (Baldwin and Davis) try to haunt the pretentious humans who have moved into their house, they ask for help from a demonic wraith (Keaton) they cannot control in this comic fantasy that mixes the quick and the dead with a laugh and a fright. The film is rated PG and is 92 minutes long.

A Haunting in Venice (Wednesday at 7 p.m.) is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve and is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a seance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets. The film is rated PG-13 and is 107 minutes long.

Upcoming Movies at The Reg include the annual showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, Oct. 27, at 10 p.m. and a Palace Theater 100th anniversary special engagement of the 1993 inspirational sports drama Rudy (Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m.)

Tickets to Movies at The Reg are $7 for movies and $6 for family films, with an additional $1 theater restoration fee added. Tickets may be purchased from noon to 5 p.m. Monday and Friday and noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at 716-484-7070 and online at reglenna.com.
