Love In the Name of Christ of Southern Chautauqua County held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house at its new office, 221 Hopkins Ave., Jamestown, on Sept. 5. Area pastors were invited to participate in the ceremony with the open house held immediately following.

“We are excited about the new location,” said Susan L. Justham, Love INC executive director. “God took a difficult situation and turned it into a blessing.”

Love INC recently relocated from West Third Street to 221 Hopkins Ave., Jamestown.

“The new space feels like three times the space from our previous location,” Justham said. “We are able to have many volunteers serving in the office at one time.”

Love INC was also able to relocate its Housewares Pantry into the new space, allowing more opportunities for others to serve and assist neighbors in need. This provided more space in their current storage location in the annex building behind Bethel Baptist Church for furniture donations.

Love INC’s mission is to mobilize area churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ. It helps area churches help people in need through donations of gently used furnishings and houseware items, toiletries, cleaning products, baby items and wheelchair ramps and connecting them to community agencies and church resources.
