LAKEWOOD — The Rock Church in Lakewood will offer two support groups: GriefShare and DivorceCare.

The 14 week groups are specifically designed to offer comfort, understanding, and healing for individuals navigating the challenging journeys of grief and divorce.

GriefShare is a program that provides a supportive environment for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Led by compassionate facilitators, the group offers a series of sessions that include educational content, group discussions, and personal reflection. Participants will find a safe space to share their stories, learn coping strategies, and find a path towards healing.

DivorceCare is designed to help individuals who are going through separation or divorce. Divorce can be an emotionally taxing experience, and this support group offers a supportive community to share feelings, experiences, and insights. Caring facilitators cover various topics related to divorce recovery, helping participants rebuild their lives and find hope for the future.

Both the GriefShare and DivorceCare support groups will be held at The Rock Church 35 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood. Sessions will take place weekly on Mondays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and are open to anyone in the community seeking comfort and guidance during these difficult life transitions. Fall sessions will be held on Oct. 9, 16, 23, 30 and Nov. 6, and 13. Special “Surviving the Holidays” sessions will be held on Nov. 20. Winter sessions will be held on Jan. 15, 22, and 29 and Feb. 5, 12, 19, and 26.
