WESTFIELD — AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital has been awarded a Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, a national leader in healthcare consumer and workforce engagement.

Press Ganey recognized Westfield Memorial Hospital as a top-performing healthcare organization achieving the 95th percentile or above for performance in patient experience. The award measured performance during 2021.

“Physicians, nurses, and staff have worked hard to provide the best possible care for our valued patients,” said Rodney Buchanan, Westfield Memorial Hospital administrator. “And this goes beyond the excellent care patients receive from our devoted staff. Allegheny Health Network and Highmark Health have expanded the services available at AHN Westfield, enabling us to keep care local, here at WMH, and patients have been very pleased with this.”

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a competitive achievement for healthcare organizations. Presented annually, the award applauds hospitals and health systems that consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients.

“Press Ganey is honored to recognize AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital as one of the nation’s leaders in patient experience,” said Patrick T. Ryan, chairman and chief executive officer of Press Ganey. “This award reflects an unwavering commitment to earn the trust and loyalty of patients throughout unimaginable challenges. We are humbled by AHN Westfield’s incredible efforts, and their ability to adapt to imperatives of COVID-19 on top of the increasing demand for consumerism in healthcare.”

Buchanan said the hospital has added telehealth programs in rheumatology, endocrinology, stroke and critical care. To learn more about AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital, visit www.AHN.org/Westfield.
