Collaboration To Help Provide PPE Equipment

Through Dec. 31, Southern Tier Brewing Company, in collaboration with the United Way and 26 Shirts, are launching a program celebrating the “City of Good Neighbors,” enabling the United Way to provide COVID-19 personal protective equipment to Western New York neighbors in need.

The three local organizations are encouraging beer drinkers across the greater Buffalo region to chip-in with a direct donation to United Way’s COVID-19 efforts. All donations go directly to the United Way to bolster their distribution of PPE and masks to Erie, Niagara and Chautauqua counties. Southern Tier Brewing is jumpstarting the fundraising efforts with a direct donation of more than $10,000 that will result in more than 30,000 masks for those in need in the Western New York area.

Those who want to participate can make a direct donation at STBCBEER.com/DONATE, purchase limited-edition Buffalo-made 26 Shirts at 26shirts.com/collections/buffalo/products/special-edition-southern-tier-brewing-city-of-good-neighbors> apparel and enter for a chance to win limited-edition apparel

“In a year unlike any other, Western New York and the spirit of the ‘City of Good Neighbors’ have inspired us to bring our fans together to support the United Way’s efforts around COVID-19,” said Phin DeMink, co-founder of Southern Tier Brewing Company. “Southern Tier Brewing Company has worked with the United Way for many years and given the challenging year we’ve all experienced, now is the time to take our partnership to the next level.”

Fans can lookout for Southern Tier beer in local grocery and beverage stores proudly showcasing the “City of Good Neighbors” limited-edition artwork. Shoppers can scan the displayed QR code to quickly participate and purchase apparel featuring the “City of Good Neighbors” design, created locally by 26 Shirts. $8 of each apparel purchase helps the United Way provide PPE and masks to Western New York neighbors in need.

“Our community is facing challenges and problems we’ve never seen before. We are proud to partner with Southern Tier Brewing Company to support residents as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Amy Rohler, executive director of the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County. “Southern Tier Brewing Company is an integral part of our community and we are fortunate to have them in our backyard.”
