The Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue Dog of the Week is Goofy, a 70-pound neutered, male German shepherd who recently arrived at the shelter≥ He seems to like all people, but might be too choosy and bouncy for some dogs and cats. He is a happy dog. The shelter is located at 7540 N. Gale St., Westfield, and is open Monday through Saturday from 1-3 p.m. or by appointment by calling 326-7297. The website is caninerescue.org. The shelter is taking donations now during open hours for the seventh annual Doggone Good Yard Sale which will be held July 26-27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the rescue. No books, clothing, electronics, TVs or mattresses are accepted, but other donations in good condition are welcome.
