‘Mechanical Circus’ Exhibit Open At 3rd On 3rd Gallery

“The Mechanical Circus” is now open at the 3rd on 3rd Gallery. Local, regional and international artists display their circus-inspired art in the latest exhibition in Reg Lenna Center for The Arts.

Artists include Alexandra Francis, Becky Hampson, Eise Hadgraft, Justin Tyler, Kim Turner, Louise Montgomery, Michelle Duxbury, Sharon Hall Ship, Steve Hines, Susan Plover, Vicky Roden, Victoria Shone, Wendy Bale, Carrie Tredo and Terrie Johnson.

The show will be open to the public through March 2.

A free reception with some of the artists in attendance will be held on Friday, March 1 at 5 p.m. before the return of Cirque Mechanics and their new production — “42FT, A Menagerie of Mechanical Marvels” — onstage at Reg Lenna Center for The Arts at 7 p.m.

“The Mechanical Circus” is the latest 3rd on 3rd Gallery show to tie in with a live performance at The Reg. Past connections include the Japanese paper art show “Kozo” and drumming group TaikoProject last September, the pop-art show “Retro” and comedian Pat Hazell’s “The Wonder Bread Years” in 2017 and the dance-inspired “Flamenco” with Flamenco Vivo’s acclaimed production “Soul of Flamenco” in 2015.

3rd on 3rd Gallery is located at 108 E. Third St. and is part of the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Exhibitions at the 3rd on 3rd Gallery are made possible by support from Arts Consulting Group.
