Southwestern Middle School officials recently released the school’s December Students of the Month. They are:

Trent Casselman, sixth grade and the son of Jamie and Casey Casselman of Jamestown. Trent’s favorite subjects are gym and science. Trent is on the Southwestern football team. Outside of school, Trent likes to play baseball, soccer, football and video games.

Kenji Walters, seventh grade and the son of Tim and Hiroko Walters of Lakewood. Kenji’s favorite subjects are technology and social studies. Kenji plays on Southwestern varsity wrestling, modified wrestling and cross country teams. Outside of school, he is a member of the WRCL Youth Wrestling program and volunteers at the Chautauqua County Humane Society. He likes to read, play his trombone and skateboard.

Matthew Pannes, eighth grade and the son of Peter Pannes and Kim Pannes. His favorite subjects are science and math. Matthew plays on the Southwestern basketball, football and baseball teams and is a member of the Southwestern Student Council. Outside of school, he likes to hang out with friends, play basketball and longboard.
