At Meeting, Ross Grange Hears About Priority Items

Ross Grange met Jan. 28 at the Falcon’s Nest Banquet Hall. The charter was draped in memory of long time members Valerie Bartholomew and Dorothy W. Sprague. The committee appointed to write resolutions of respect is Betty Wakefield, Opal Sprague and Mary Jane Griffith.

A letter of thanks was received from the State Grange Museum secretary, Pat VanLare for the memorial sent for former Ross members.

The 2019 State Legislative Handbook has been received. President Robert Goodwin highlighted the priority items.

Betty Wakefield reported on the information given to the 4-H office for members with meat animals.

Treasurer Mary Jane Griffith gave her report. The area library representatives will attend the Feb. 25 meeting to share their activities. Ross will host the County Pomona meeting on Feb. 23.

Various projects sponsored by the Family Activities Committee were given by Mrs. Wakefield. Included are woodworking, quilting and needlework. She has details for those interested.

The chocolate jumble cookie contest will be held at the March 11 Ross meeting.

Following the meeting, refreshments were served by Opal Sprague. The next meeting will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest.
