The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Realtors recently awarded scholarships to local high school seniors.

Kiana Vullo and Mikayla Nuesch-Brock were both recipients. Vullo, a 2018 graduate of Jamestown High School, is attending Gannon University and is majoring in biology on the pre-medicine track. Her goal is to become a pediatrician when done with her education. Nuensch-Brock, a 2018 graduate of Southwestern Central School, is majoring in broadcasting at the State University at Oswego. She is interested in becoming a news broadcaster.

In addition to awarding scholarships annually, the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Board of Realtors regularly supports St. Susan’s Center, The Salvation Army and ANEW Women and Children’s Shelter. The organization recently completed a fitness challenge which provided a fundraising opportunity for YMCA youth programs.

“We strive to give back to the community in any way that we can,” said Roberta Thompson, organization president. “It is an honor to be able to award such deserving students with these scholarships. We will be awarding scholarships again in 2019 and encourage local high-school seniors to apply.”
